About The Event
Three of the club's experienced members - Deborah Campbell, Arnold Desandere and Sarah Peterson will be on the BQT panel to answer members' questions. (Note: due to unforeseen circumstances, Sarah may be late arriving at the meeting. Jim Liness, our Beginners Apiary manager, has kindly agreed to join the panel).
Members are invited to send questions in advance to Fiona, our chairman. Questions can be on any beekeeping topic, big or small problems, whether you are a beginner or more experienced.
Our panel.
Deborah and Arnold are both Master Beekeepers. Deborah is also a Bucks County Bee Health Mentor.
Arnold was educated at Queen's University, Belfast and moved to  Beaconsfield in 2000.  He has a keen  interest in horticulture and insects. He took up beekeeping in 2008 and  became Master beekeeper in 2019. He mentors new beekeepers for the High Wycombe bee club and runs 7 National hives and 4 nucs  in Beaconsfield, Penn and Chalfont.
Sarah has 22 years of experience , having inherited her first 2 colonies from her parents. She keeps her bees in WBCs and a flow hive, the bees are all from her original 2 colonies. A scientist all her life, Sarah has completed most of the modules and mentored a number of local beekeepers.
Deborah has been beekeeping for 14 years managing 2 out-apiaries using national hives.  Deborah became a Master Beekeeper in 2017, a product of the education and  training that was established in the  Chalfonts by Dr Beulah Cullen and  Sr Mary Christa around 13 years ago. She mentors local  beekeepers, is involved in Module groups and is an examiner for the BBKA practical exams. Having been an active member of the Bucks Microscopy Group pretty much since its inception Deborah is looking forward to resuming when circumstances allow.
Members will receive an email with instructions on how to join the meeting. (If you haven't received the email, let me know - Helen)
