About The Event
Our next club speaker is Paul Verrier on Tuesday 27 May on the subject of Pheromones. Some of you may have heard Paul speak at the Bucks Spring Seminar - it is a fascinating topic and we are delighted that Paul is able to fit us in. Doors will open at 7pm as usual for tea, coffee and a catch up with a view to Paul starting his talk at 7.30pm.
Paul Verrier started out as a physicist and applied mathematician hoping to create an impact in theoretical astrophysics. He spent a couple of years helping University of London scientists from various colleges to solve their scientific problems using the, then, new fangled computer. In 1975 he took up a position at Rothamsted Research to continue the same task, but to deal with all the sciences across the whole of the Agricultural Research Council.
