About The Event
Honey Ferments are a simple and delicious way of preserving all sorts of foods, such as garlic, ginger, turmeric and chilli. Â You can then use both the food and the honey syrup in your cooking. Â Angela incorporates them into soup recipes or pours them onto porridge or yoghurt. Â The ginger with a little whisky goes very well we are told!!
The meeting will consist of an interactive session with a practical demonstration to make two or three honey ferments with your own honey. Â Please bring a jar (about a pound but less or more is ok too). Â Any type is fine, set or runny and two sterile empty honey jars of similar size with lids. Â You may want to bring an apron and wear old clothing.
