About The Event

The 27th annual spring seminar hosted by Bucks County Beekeepers will take place at the John Colet School, Wharf Road Wendover on Saturday 18th February 2023 starting at 10am (doors open 9:30).

This is an in-person meeting and it will not be possible to attend via zoom.

The speakers are:

Isobel Grindrod, PhD - Natural varroa resistance mechanisms in honey bees (via video link).

Margaret Murdin, NDB - Honey bee colonies spring build up.

Stuart Mabbutt - Wildlife Gardening

There will also be a raffle and stalls to browse: Bumble bees; Bees Abroad; Microscopy; BBKA publications; Central Association of bee-keepers

Tea and coffee will be provided by Mid Bucks Beekeepers but please do bring along cakes and bisscuits to share. The cost for the event is £10 when pre-booked via eventbrite. Tickets will be available on the door at a cost of £12.50.

Delegates will need to provide their own lunch.

The seminar will finish at 15:00 and will be followed by the Bucks County Beekeepers AGM which will start at 15:15.
