Honey Show
The Chalfonts Beekeepers' annual Honey Show was held at the Old Amersham Market Hall
Sunday 15th September.

RULES
​
1. The Honey Show is open to members of the Chalfonts Beekeepers’ Society and all entries are free.
​
2. Labels will be prepared in advance and ready for collection from 8:30 am on the day of the Show. Tables will be available to label your exhibits, which should be labelled as follows:

Jars (honey) – about half an inch (12mm) from the bottom

Cut comb – on the lid with duplicate on one side of the container Candles – one on stand

Beeswax – one on wax with duplicate on display plate/dish

3. Extracted honey must be exhibited in plain, clear, 454g (1lb) squat jars (glass or plastic) with standard gold lacquered metal, or gold plastic, screw tops or twist-offs, and matching, except where otherwise stated. Honey colour will be assessed by means of BS filters. Cut comb must be submitted in standard 8oz rectangular containers.

4. Exhibits may not be removed until permitted by the steward. Please pick up your entries after 4pm; any entries not collected will be disposed of.
​
5. Class 6: Three identical jars of any size, labelled as for sale.
​
6. All entries to classes 1-12, 20-23 shall be the produce of the entrant’s own hives.
​
7. Novice Classes are open to anyone who has not won a first prize in this category and has started beekeeping in the last five years.
​
8. Candles to be displayed mounted and ready to light. Decorative rolled candles must have no flammable decoration.
​
