The shows that Chalfont Beekeepers Society attends are a vital method of keeping in touch with the local community – they provide a platform for education about bees, means of selling honey produced by members and as a source of new members!
The times of the shows vary as detailed above, and members are asked to volunteer to man the stall for a short period of time – usually just one to two hours. The stand comprises one gazebo with usually a side area where the observation hive is set up, and sometimes there are demonstrations of skep making or frame making.
The main stall sells honey and honey products made by members – and there is always someone on hand to answer any difficult questions from members of the public.
Your help in volunteering is much appreciated and can be a great way of getting to know other members better.
The shows booked for this year are as follows – but detailed information with time slots available will be sent out nearer the time of the individual shows.
To those who have already volunteered – thank you!
