On Saturday 4th September, we will be holding our honey show, as well as having a stand at the Chalfont St.Giles show to educate the public about all things related to beekeeping. We will also be selling honey and other honey and beeswax products made by members. It will be a long day, with set up starting at 07:30 and packing up when the show finishes at 17:00. We would like to ask for volunteers to help throughout the day.
The Honey Show – Derek Taylor is the steward and will be organising the show, but we need some volunteers to set up the show tent first thing in the morning. So at 07:30 we need a minimum of 2 able bodied people to help put up tables and display boards and generally do some running around finding things – this will take about an hour.
For the main show, we need 3 people to help set up the stand – The show starts at 11:00, so we need help from 9:30 with this. Show starts at 11:00, but honey entries have to be in by 9:30 as judging starts at 10:00.
We also need volunteers throughout the day to help sell produce, talk to members of the public interested in beekeeping and to show the observation and virtual hives.
Please fill in the spreadsheet with times you can be available to help and jobs you prefer to do by 29th August, and we will let you know later when you will be needed.
